Responsible for Research and Test Development, Dr. Patz serves as chief measurement officer at ACT, and leads the Pacific Metrics’ strategic initiatives, including organizational quality, stability, and implementation of standards, procedures, and performance evaluation. Dr. Patz has worked as senior executive for a major test publishing company and as a visiting scholar at two major research universities.

An assessment profession leader, Ms. Gibbs leads the development of large scale solutions, and provides strategic leadership in anticipating and responding to customer needs and requirements. She has held leadership positions at major test publishing organizations and in the implementation of statewide assessment programs.

Tim Bergholz
Chief Financial Officer
An experienced finance leader, Mr. Bergholz oversees our finance and human resources operations and teams. He collaborates with our staff and clients on project budgeting and contract negotiations, working with a keen understanding of clients’ needs to balance costs and outcomes.

William Mistretta
Vice President of Service and Technology Operations
Mr. Mistretta leaders our technology team in developing new and emerging technology solutions. His deep expertise in management, software engineering, and technical research, along with this skill in algorithm design, systems development and implementation shapes our technology strategy and innovation program and ensures that all of our technology programs are enhanced and sustained for years to come.

Leslie Mugan
Vice President of Customer Experience & Program Management
Ms. Mugan leads our department responsible for operational programs and complex client engagements and is frequently involved in the oversight of many of our large assessment projects, including the recent Louisiana Online Assessment System. She has worked in product development and policy management roles prior to joining Pacific Metrics.

E. Matthew Schulz
Vice President of Research Design
Leading our assessment development, psychometrics, research studies and responses to issues that may arise from program development, legislative actions, or stakeholder input, Dr. Schulz supports high-stakes, customized assessments, and guide our continuous enhancement processes in psychometrics, research methodology, and applied statistics in assessment and automated scoring.

Helene Duvin
Vice President of Marketing and Commercial Sales
A trend spotter, and client relationship expert, Ms. Duvin analyzes trends and developments in assessment fields to anticipate and address our clients’ needs and priorities across multiple market segments. She provides “voice of the market” and “voice of the customer” insights to inform our research and new product and program design. Helene leads both our marketing and commercial (b2b) sales efforts.

Nonita Fortman
Director of Human Resources
Leading all human resource functions at Pacific Metrics, Nonita’s areas of responsibility include recruitment and staffing, benefits, classification and compensation, learning and development, employee relations and career services, and leadership development. She is a valued member of the executive team and plays a key role in defining the company’s business strategy, planning, and execution.
